Heather Cookson

Heather took up playing the violin aged 7, after watching Vanessa Mae playing electric violin on Children in Need. She has recently finished her degree in Human Psychology, which she completed at Aston University, Birmingham. During her four years living in Birmingham, Heather played for the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra. She spent a year playing violin for local Liverpool band Ecuador, before later joining KCO. In addition to playing violin, Heather also sings. Her influences include Hans Zimmer, Eva Cassidy, Maxim Vengerov and Nightwish.
